1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Velora mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Velora.

2. Service Description

Velora is an AI-powered spiritual wellness platform that provides astrological forecasts (Cosmic Weather), tarot card readings (78 Rider-Waite cards), Pythagorean numerology analysis, astrological compatibility, astro-journaling, AI chat, historical figure chart comparisons, and monthly cosmic audits. The App operates on a 2-tier model: basic features are free (utility), while AI-powered interpretations require credits (paid).

• We do NOT make predictions about death, health diagnoses, legal outcomes, or deterministic future events
• Our AI content moderation system actively blocks harmful content including: death predictions, medical advice, legal advice, self-harm content, violence, and hate speech
• Historical Figure comparisons use only deceased persons (>70 years) or public domain figures to avoid Right of Publicity violations
• Cultural sensitivity checks are applied to all AI content based on your locale
• Always consult licensed, qualified professionals for medical, legal, financial, or psychological matters

4. Eligibility & User Accounts

• You may use Velora's basic features without creating an account (anonymous mode)
• You must be at least 13 years old to access AI-powered features (COPPA compliance enforced via age verification)
• Users under 13 can access basic natal chart computation only — all AI features are blocked
• Account creation (via email or social login) is optional but required for cross-device data sync and purchase history
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials
• One account per person — creating multiple accounts to abuse the credit system is prohibited

5. Credits, Subscriptions & Payments

Velora uses an in-app credit system and subscription model:

• Free users earn credits through: daily check-in (+3 credits/day), watching rewarded ads (5 credits, max 2/day), and sharing (10 credits, max 2/week)
• Free users can earn approximately 150–200 credits per month through regular activity
• Pro Monthly subscription: $7.99/month (first month $2.99 intro offer) — includes 400 credits/month, ~50% reduced AI costs, ad-free experience, and free Astro-Journaling AI
• Pro Yearly subscription: $59.99/year ($5/month) — includes 500 credits/month, same Pro benefits, +100 bonus credits/month vs Monthly, saving 37%
• One-time credit packs available: Starter ($0.99/20cr), Standard ($2.99/70cr), Popular ($4.99/115cr), Best Value ($9.99/250cr), Mega ($19.99/600cr)
• Non-consumable Tarot deck purchases: Mystic Moon ($2.99), Golden Goddess ($3.99), Shadow Realm ($4.99), Celestial Dreams ($5.99) — visual-only cosmetic items
• All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Intro offer ($2.99 first month) is limited to one per device per user, managed by RevenueCat eligibility
• Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies
• Prices may vary by region due to Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) adjustments

6. AI-Generated Content

Understanding how AI content works in Velora:

• All AI-generated content (interpretations, readings, chat responses) is marked with a 🤖 badge
• AI responses are generated using OpenAI's language models with your natal chart context
• Real-time content moderation filters all AI output before delivery to you
• Blocked content types: death predictions, medical diagnoses, legal advice, self-harm/violence, hate speech
• Cultural context is injected per locale (lucky numbers, power colors, tone guidance, forbidden topics)
• AI content does not represent professional astrological, medical, or psychological advice
• We reserve the right to modify AI features, models, or content at any time

7. Advertising

Free tier users will see advertisements served by Google AdMob, including:

• Banner ads within the app interface
• Interstitial ads between feature transitions
• Rewarded video ads (optional, earn 5 credits per view, maximum 2 per day)
• App-open ads when launching the app
• Pro subscribers enjoy a completely ad-free experience

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, functionality, design, code, trademarks, and intellectual property within Velora are owned by us or our licensors. The Classic Rider-Waite tarot deck imagery is used under public domain. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code of the App
• Using Velora as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice
• Harassing, threatening, or stalking other users through compatibility or community features
• Creating multiple accounts to exploit the credit system, daily check-in rewards, or referral bonuses
• Attempting to manipulate, hack, or exploit the credit system or subscription verification
• Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Redistributing, reselling, or sublicensing your access to the App or its content
• Submitting false birth data with the intent to deceive age verification systems

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: Velora is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Velora at any time, without prior notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the App is immediately revoked. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
